If you have ever been interested in becoming a hockey Official, you should know there is a huge need for new Officials in our area! 

A Level 1 Officiating Seminar is being offered   

At Frontier Ice Arena

December 2nd

8AM-2PM

Parents, coaches, and players 13 years and older are encouraged to attend the seminar to become an Official.  8:00 am - Noon will be in the Party Room, then 12:30-1:30 will be on-ice.  Registration is through USA Hockey and costs $40.   Click HERE to register.

Make sure to bring a black helmet w/visor, Ref sweater (if you have one), black pants, whistle and skates.  Bring your copy of the rule book if you have it, or download the Rule Book app HERE.

To become an official, the process is much like becoming a USA Hockey coach.  You must:

• Have an active USA Hockey Membership
• Complete the Officiating Seminar (@ Frontier Ice Arena, Dec 2)
• Complete online modules
• Complete Safe Sport Training and a Background Check if over 18 years. 

 Everyone is welcome to become an Official!  Parents and coaches make great officials, however, players 13 years and older are especially encouraged to give it a try.   Young players will be mentored by an experienced Official and they will only officiate games younger than their division.  

This is a PAID position!  Its a great way to have fun and make a little extra money on the side or even jump-start a career in officiating!
